Setup A prism pole was placed at the landing spot of the shot put.
MeasurementInput prism height in the total station. Sight at a target point. The distance from the center of the throwing circle to the prism marker will be indicated at the display of the total station.
CalculationSubtract the distance in the display with the radius of the throwing circle to get the distance of the throw
